1957년에 Yosef Haddar작곡하고, Moshe Dor가 작사한 곡으로 이스라엘을
포함한 아랍계에서 널리 불려지고 있는 음악이다. 'Shoshana(쇼샨나)'는 장미나
백합을 뜻하는 히브리어이며, 'shoshanim'는 복수를 뜻한다. 한편 수잔과 같은
여자의 이름이기도하다. 이곡은 Yafa Yarkoni가 처음 노래했으며, 60~70년대에
Harry Belafonte, Nana Mouskouri, Miriam Makeba같은 다른 가수들에 의해
많이 불려졌던 곡이다. 'Julie Levy'의 목소리는 티 하나 없이 맑고 편하다. 순수
하고 어떠한 한에도 사무치지도 않은 목소리. 어둠이 내리는 장미밭을 걸어가는
순결한 처녀의 목소리. 바로 그것인 것이다.
